Inspiration Workshop through Gussy Sews Installment #1!
I've referred a couple times to the Gussy Sews blog...and this is the first week I'm posting in this blog as a part of the Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop! You should check it out if you're up for being inspired and photography...and community;) - join me in the fun!
The prompt for this week was HANDMADE and here's my favorite photo from Unglued that I'm using:
The inspiring part: this was the first indie craft fest in Fargo, ND and it was totally nerve wracking if anyone was even going to show up! I love this photo of Bemidji graphic designer/screen printer Cody Bartz (no website yet, but I believe his goods can be obtained through Bad Cat Creations in Bemidji) selling some amazing artwork to an adorable lady - the crowd who came was so much more diverse than I ever anticipated! I could have peed my pants I was so excited to see all different generations having a great time celebrating the creatively handmade. The best comments I heard were from very typical street fair goers saying "this is so much better than the street fair!"...as they discovered the beauty of handmade in a fresh, new way.
Can't wait for what's to come! On the docket of possibilities is a winter Unglued in Grand Forks...a craft consignment pop up shop for Christmas...and an awesome venue in the works for Unglued next winter/spring in Fargo!!

How fun that you've got the chance to be a part of the handmade community through the craft shows!

How exciting! Sounds like you have more fun in the works. It's wonderful when there are local opportunities to share and spread handmade love :)
